Thursday… AKA I Can’t Believe This Week Isn’t Over Yet

This week has seemed sooo long.  I probably say that just about every other week, but this time I mean it– it really has felt like the longest week ever.  And it’s still not over!  There’s still one more day to go!

Sigh… I won’t get into the specifics, but this school week has been all over the place.  Irregular scheduling during the day, and then two nights I’ve had to go back to school.  And since I commute, it wasn’t worth it to drive back and forth, so I spent the equivalent of 12 hours at work.  Well, actually it’s only been one night–I’m supposed to be there right at this very moment, but I got out of it.  For a valid reason, of course.  Namely, that we are celebrating Sam’s SUCCESSFUL committee review!  Yay!  I’m so proud of him for putting in the work and time and effort for two years of grad school and now we are at the END!  The end of an era, you might say :)

All this is to tell you, sorry I didn’t post yesterday.  And I might not post tomorrow or much of next week, either.  My excuse this week is that I’ve been stressed and tired and sick of everything.  My excuse  for next week is of a much happier nature: Spring Break!  We didn’t plan to do much, but when I wasn’t looking our week filled up.

Here’s a little look at the upcoming week:

Sunday: my parents come to town

Monday: three consecutive doctor’s appointments (I get to learn how to give myself shots!  How exciting!)

Tuesday: drive to Atlanta for a very exciting job thingy for Sam which I will be very vague about in case it doesn’t work out

Wednesday: drive to Auburn to visit my parents

Thursday: drive to the beach house that Sam’s family is renting for the week (aka my favorite part!  the BEACH!)

And then finally we will stay in one place for more than one night and enjoy our break until Sunday.  So the week is turning out rather well, no?  I was hoping we might have a few days to laze around and maybe try out some new recipes, but that can wait for another day.  Who knows… this might be our last Spring Break, now that Sam is finished with school and who knows if I’ll get another job teaching.  So I’m excited about next week!  And if I’m not posting, you know why :)
